how does the commission service work?
We can upcycle your existing furniture or source furniture to refinish to your specifications. We would discuss your requirements and ideas to ensure the refinished furniture meets your needs.

What is your returns policy?
For readily upcycled furniture bought online - you must inform us in writing, within 14 days of receipt, that you wish to return the item. You will then have 21 days to return it. Buyer responsible for return costs.
Item must be returned in original condition and original packaging. If the item has been damaged and requires repairs, the cost of repairs would be deducted from the refund amount.
Bespoke commissioned orders are not eligible for returns.
If you wish to cancel an order, this must be completed before the item is despatched to you.
How is furniture delivered?
Depending on the distance, we may deliver the furniture ourselves. If not, then delivery would be arranged using furniture couriers, therefore, delivery timescales would depend on couriers' availability and routes, but generally shouldn't take longer than 2-3 weeks.
Most couriers are a one-person service, delivering to ground-floor and help would be expected to unload/carry the item. If delivery is not to a ground floor and/or you require a 2-person service then additional costs will apply. Please also specify any information during check-out process (or notify as soon as possible afterwards) which might be relevant - i.e.: your availability, parking/access restrictions.
How to care for upcycled furniture
I would recommend using coasters and mats to prevent scratches/damage.
Remove dust with a water-dampened cloth. Dust can build up over time and may scratch or dull finishes if not removed regularly.
Remove fingerprints, cooking fumes and smoking residue with mild soap and water as these contaminants dull the luster.
Avoid using furniture polish, cleaners or dusting sprays that contain silicone, alcohol, ammonia and anything acidic.
Clean up water, alcohol, perfume, food spills in a timely manner and use placemats & coasters to protect the finish.
Avoid excessive exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures or high humidity. These can damage furniture and finishes.
What is the process for upcycling
furniture?
Furniture is thoroughly cleaned and inspected to identify any issues or damage that needs to be fixed. Once issues are fixed, we then move on to the refinishing and repainting process, which involves sanding, staining, painting, applying a design (ie geometric design created with masking tape; decoupage; stencilling) where necessary. The paintwork/decoupage/design/wood is then protected by applying a protective coat (this could be an oil-based or water based product dependant on various factors).
